To all our visitors and guests, we extend a sincere welcome to our site, and hope that your stay will be most enjoyable. Our personal aim is to make your visit both memorable and pleasant so you will want to return.
In mid and high season our heated pool is warm whatever the weather
Many of our visitors do return year after year, and some, who came themselves as children now bring their own children to re-live their memories of Camping in Bude.

Grumpy Petes bar serves wines, spirits and local beers as well as freshly ground coffee and luxurious hot chocolate
Budemeadows Campsite Bude is close to the wonderful Cornish coastline and the countryside of both Cornwall and North Devon is yours to explore.

Onsite there are the heated swimming pool, outdoor and indoor games to enjoy, and a quiet bar in which to relax and enjoy a beer or freshly ground coffee (pool and bar open mid and high season).  Our hot chocolate (with or without whippy cream and marshmallows) is popular with our younger guests, and some of the older ones too.

We take pride in our reputation for keeping our toilets and showers clean and tidy and you'll find plentiful hot water without push taps or metered showers.  There are private cubicles with toilet and sink available and free hairdryers. All our showers are of a good size and are free to use.  We have large disabled facilities with toilet shower and sink which are also available for family use.  There is even a bathroom for those who prefer a leisurely soak in a full sized bath.  And there is also a baby bath and changing table.

Although you're on holiday sometimes there is washing to be done and we have laundry facilities on site with good size dryers just right for getting those towels ready for another day on the beach.

Our large play area features an aerial runway
We have 2 play areas on site, a  traditional playground with equipment for a range of ages from wendy houses and castles to our very popular Zip-wire.  There are also the usual swings, slides and climbing frames as well as a small football pitch with a couple of goals with nets.

The other outdoor games area is near Grumpy Pete's and is home to a giant chess set, Connect 4, table tennis and skittles.  If the sun's just too hot for you there are also a range of bar and board games available in the bar such as shove h'penny, Monopoly and Scrabble.

Our games room is also popular with the children and is equipped with Pool and Table Football (both 50p a game) and a few video games as well as a TV for anyone who needs a fix of the soaps.
Our on-site shop is small but well stocked with most essentialsWe have a licensed shop on site (open mid and high season) which stocks grocery essentials and a range of camping equipment as well as lots of sweets.  For many young children a big part of their camping holiday is making a trip to the shop on their own; so we try to make sure that , having raided their piggy bank, there are things they can buy with their hard earned 37p.

During the Whitsun half term week and high season our takeaway is open for business.  We serve a range of normal 'takeaway fare'  and wherever possible our food is sourced locally, all our meat comes from a local butcher, the chicken nuggets are actually chicken, and our eggs are local free range. The menu to the left shows a selection from our breakfast and evening menus.  From time to time there are home made cakes and fresh baked cookies available in Grumpy Pete's.

Off-site the area is well provided with facilities for waterborne activities.  As well a number of surf schools and board hire shops in and around Bude, there are also other activity centres offering a range of outdoor pursuits such as rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, mountain boarding or pony trekking.

Come on in the water's lovely - Widemouth bay for surfing girls and body boarders

All these things make up the essential ingredients for an altogether perfect holiday, the success of which we will try to ensure.  So don't delay book your Bude camping holiday today.
