Budemeadows Touring Park in Cornwall is just a mile from the extensive beaches of Widemouth Bay, renowned for surf and sand. Three miles north are the unspoilt resort towns of Bude and Stratton, with many holiday attractions including Bude's swimming and leisure pool, 18 hole golf course, sailing, surfing and wind surfing. Coarse and sea fishing, and pony trekking are all within easy reach of this family campsite in Bude.
Budemeadows is
a beautiful setting
for a
touring holiday situated on a sheltered and gentle lee slope. Nine
acres of naturally landscaped parkland, protected and divided by mature
and dense hedgerows. Oak, willow, sloe, hazel and wild honeysuckle in
profusion. Magnificent surroundings of which we are truly proud. As a
touring caravan site our park is suitable for caravans, camping and
motorhomes and is arranged in groups of landscaped pitches separated by
hedges and fences.A long established touring caravan site, Budemeadows is a peaceful place to stay and enjoy, located on the Atlantic Highway (A39) which provides a link to the rest of Cornwall and the delights of north Devon. Use it as a comfortable base for relaxed exploration of the many idyllic beaches, interesting towns and villages, of North Cornwall and West Devon. Tour the history steeped King Arthur's country, and the wood cloaked coastal valleys. From historic Launceston Castle, to the shaggy ponies of invigorating Dartmoor; and picturesque Clovelly; all within easy reach of Budemeadows.
On-site there are a range of games and
activities available from table tennis to chess. The indoor games
room has table football and pool and a TV. Grumpy Pete's Bar
(open Mid and High Season) is situated near the site entrance and
offers a range of beers, wines and spirits as well as tea and freshly
ground coffee. The bar is WiFi enabled and there is a internet
connected PC available for guests to use.We have a small, but well stocked, shop on site, open in Mid and High season, which provides basic groceries, camping equipment, toys wine, and beer. In High Season hot food is available mornings and evenings, ranging from a traditional breakfast fry-up to daily specials providing an alternative to Dads burnt sausages from the barbeque. The toilets and showers are kept clean at all times and hot water is free and plentiful. In Mid to High season our heated pool is warm and inviting, the surrounding area catches the sun all day and is equipped with sun loungers.
For the odd rainy day there are also more family orientated undercover attractions offsite, including Bude's splash swimming pool, with flume and waves, ten pin bowling and an indoor soft play area.
For many visitors the beaches are the main attraction. The four main beaches; Widemouth Bay, Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth, all offer sand and rockpools and are all excellent for surfing and bodyboarding. There are several surf schools offering lessons and you can hire boards and wetsuits in Bude or from the beachside carparks. For the more adventurous there are also opportunities for rock climbing, coastering and kayaking locally.
